Research/Writing
Taking the ENGT 435W research and writing course taught me a lot about how important clear communication is in engineering. While working on my senior project report, I learned how to organize technical information and explain my design choices in a way that was easy for others to follow. Writing about my wireless agriculture temperature monitoring system helped me improve how I document my work, reference standards, and break down complex ideas into clear sections.
The course also helped me realize how important it is to back up designs with real testing and to pay attention to professional standards when describing technical projects. I feel that this experience helped me grow as a future engineer, especially when it comes to connecting technical work to real-world applications. It supported the LeADERS goals at ODU by helping me build skills in leadership, application, research, and communication.
Overall, ENGT 435W gave me a lot of valuable practice that I know will help me in my career as I work toward becoming an Electrical Engineer specializing in communication systems and power systems. I'm grateful for what I learned and how it helped prepare me for the next steps after graduation.
